OutStart LCMS and Hot Lava Mobile Earn 'Best of ELearning!' Awards

Boston – January 8, 2010 – The readers of Elearning! magazine have awarded OutStart Inc. two Best of Elearning! awards for OutStart LCMS and Hot Lava Mobile, respectively. After receiving more than 1,700 online ballots from readers who nominated an array of products as the best, Elearning! magazine’s staff tallied the results and OutStart won for its work during the past year in the following categories:  “Best Enterprise LCMS” and “Best Mobile Learning.”

OutStart LCMS is a learning content management system that automates the development, management, maintenance and delivery of modular training. Hot Lava Mobile is software that gives organizations a way to develop content once and deploy it to multiple handheld devices and mobile phones.

According to Elearning! magazine’s editors, voters said OutStart “offers excellent collaborative content development,” and “has global capabilities, flexible tools and a true partnering focus.”

“The Best of Elearning! award is a readers’ choice award," said Catherine Upton, group publisher of Elearning! magazine, "that gives us a straightforward, front-lines look at what customers actually think of these products and how they use them to run their businesses day-to-day.”

According to OutStart, among the reasons why the company’s products won an Elearning! award this year is versatility. For example, Hot Lava Mobile creates content for surveys, references, quizzes, tests and job aids that can run on mobile phones, smart phones, podcasting devices and wireless devices. Along with this, Hot Lava Mobile tracks the delivery and usage of mobile content, so managers can measure what people learn and know.  Similarly, OutStart LCMS breaks up the age-old formula of creating one type of training that forces people to learn at a prescribed time, place and way. OutStart LCMS, says Elearning! readers, “provides highly personalized delivery of content to each student, which makes e-learning more effective.”

“We’re extremely grateful to our customers and appreciate their ongoing commitment to using our solutions. We’re delighted that so many of them are getting the kind of value that causes them to vote for our solutions as the best of their kind,” remarked Massood Zarrabian, president and CEO of OutStart, Inc. “The bar has been set high, but we’re committed to living up to this honor in the months and years ahead.”
