SmartForce to Create Unique Learning Program for Macromedia Web Developers

SmartForce e-Learning offers increased productivity on Macromedia tools and technologies

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. January 31, 2002;SmartForce (Nasdaq: SMTF), the world largest e-Learning company, today announced it is co-developing more than 100 hours of e-Learning content to enable developers to quickly learn how to use Macromedia tools and servers. Available in March 2002, the e-Learning content will be delivered via a co-branded, MySmartForce platform for Macromedia customers. It will also be available to SmartForce enterprise customers and localized into multiple languages.

Introducing the developer to the fundamental concepts and features of the Macromedia product family, the learning paths will cover the skills necessary for the planning, design, and building of Websites, Web graphics, Macromedia Flash animation, and ActionScript applications. Specifically, the Macromedia Flash learning paths will cover the creation of animations and the development of applications using ActionScript. The Macromedia Dreamweaver learning paths will educate users on all phases of building Websites, including HTML content, CSS, page layout, and JavaScript behaviors. Macromedia Fireworks learning paths will help developers to create and edit Web graphics, add interactivity using a complete set of bitmap and vector tools, and use Fireworks and Flash integration features. Content covering ColdFusion Server will guide developers in building dynamic, data-driven Web applications from e-commerce to business automation.

SmartForce will co-develop the learning paths with Macromedia using e3, the underlying application architecture which integrates and supports SmartForce s award-winning content, technology and tools and services. Through e3, users can access various learning objects from seminars and workshops to simulations, all of which will be targeted to meet specific learning objectives for the successful use of Macromedia software.
