IntraLearn helps two new European education portals deliver content

The IntraLearn Learning Management System has recently been chosen by two government authorities in open competitions as the platform for delivery of e-learning content to their citizens.

In Iceland, the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture is funding an education portal designed to serve the citizens of Iceland. There are 100,000 students and 10,000 teachers in Iceland and this one central gateway will serve up e-learning courses and act as a repository for the locally published materials. IntraLearn is being localized with an Icelandic interface and will allow controlled access to the commercial materials.

In Belgium, the Flanders education authority is designing a "Learning Ecosystem" to provide learners with access to content produced in local universities using a standard set of content tools. BIS (Begeleid Individueel Studeren) is part of the Flemish Ministry of Education. BIS markets courses to adults learners for continuous education. Their courses are sold to the Flemish citizen. BIS has close to 45,000 students. Their offering includes languages courses, IT courses, and topics like geography, electricity.

Helma van den Berg van Let's Learn! beluisterde de bijdrage van Jeanne Bakker aan de podcastserie BrainBakery. Bakker vertelde over de bedreiging en kansen die we nu en in de toekomst van AI kunnen verwachten. In de podcast sprak zij haar verwachtingen uit voor de toekomst van AI in leren. Helma is het met haar eens. Zoals de gedachte om AI voor gepersonaliseerd leren te gebruiken.
